EmpowerED surveys for EdTech providers

Long sales cycles. Small teams. Gender gaps in funding. These aren’t exceptions in EdTech – according to our research, they are the norm. Yet too often, funding models fail to reflect these realities of building and scaling an EdTech company.

At the same time, fragmented procurement processes, a lack of testbeds, and limited access to reliable market data continue to stifle innovation. They slow down validation and make scaling across markets harder than it should be.

Through the EU-funded EmpowerED project, we’re working to shift the conversation, advocating for funding mechanisms that understand the specific needs of the sector and support diverse, resilient EdTech founders. We are compiling a final report (due later this year) that will inform the next Digital Europe Programme of the European Commission and include recommendations directed at policymakers from across Europe.
