EmpowerED x STEM Discovery Campaign: recognising teachers with the EdTech Pioneer award!

The annual Scientix® STEM Discovery Campaign, co-organized this year with the NBS EduWORLD project, invites educators, projects, organisations, libraries, schools, universities, youth clubs and all interested stakeholders across Europe and beyond to celebrate careers and studies in the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM)!

This year, EmpowerED is recognising the efforts of educators who are contributing to the integration of educational technology (EdTech) in both traditional and innovative classroom settings by supporting the Scientix EdTech Pioneers Award. Two selected recipients will be invited to the upcoming 2025 Science Projects Workshop in Brussels this summer.

How can you participate? To be eligible for the EdTech Pioneers Award you can submit to the STEM Discovery Campaign map either:

• A Learning Scenario that demonstrates the use of EdTech (either hardware or software) in your classroom to engage your students in novel ways. The Learning Scenario can be for students of all age groups. Use this template to help you get started!
• A Reflective Portfolio describing how you could collaborate with an EdTech developer to guide them in the creation of an EdTech product, acting as a Pedagogical Mentor. The EmpowerED Educators: Becoming Pedagogical Mentors for EdTech Co-Design MOOC will guide you through the process! The portfolio you create at the end of the course can be directly submitted to the STEM Discovery Campaign.

The campaign runs from 1 February to 30 April 2025 so get started soon!
